Landscapes in INK
The following are items from an old sketchbook (2002-2007). All of these were made with either ballpoint pens, gel pens, or a mixture of both. A college student studying mathematics, I had a busy schedule and very little pocket money. Pens were easy to find, and easy to carry around campus. I also enjoyed the challenge. Ink is unforgiving; when you make a mistake, it stays.
Why landscapes? Sketching became exploration. They let me wander a world slightly twisted- sometimes dark, sometimes colorful.

Painting
I rarely paint. A messy venue with extra set-up and clean-up time, painting lends itself to procrastination. However, I have and do, on occasion, dabble with oils, watercolors and acrylics. The following experimented with moonlight and color.

Experiments with Textile, Texture and Style
"Art is not an end in itself, but a means of addressing humanity." - Modest Mussorgsky
When I create, I challenge myself, and thus grow. Because art is a communication, meant to be witnessed, everyone is invited to join me on the journey. Each image below (2002-2011) was constructed with either ink, graphite or pastels. My limitations were found. Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. I wouldn't change a thing, and I'm glad you could come along for the ride.
